Chip Scarlett and Sharks - Visually Stunning

We are big fans of pro shark PSA's, especially ones that deliver strong and cohesive personal narratives.

Underwater photographer Chip Scarlett knows this art form well and has delivered one of the most engaging shark PSA's we have seen in a while. All that is needed now is a gentle push into the Internet and about 100,000 more viewers.

Kudos:

Scarlett's video only had 30 or so views when I came across it this morning. Thanks for spreading this one around a bit more. He seems like he's doing a lot for shark conservation.

Chip is a great Shark photographer, a true champion of Sharks and above all, a great guy!

He'll be launching his first book, "Loving Sharks" at the 2010 ADEX, see http://www.asiandiver.com/adex-20.phtml and if his slide show is any indication, we're in for a treat!

It's very true that most people have it all wrong about sharks...they ARE beautiful and certainly deserve our attention. I hate it when people participate in senseless activities such as sport fishing or finning. Honestly, I think I can survive without eating certain delicacies if it will mean saving the life of a shark. More people need to be aware of these creaures as living beings rather than as creatures that 'will eat anything'; we need to see to it that [the endagered ones] don't become extinct. I hope to learn scuba diving one day and have a cage diving experience with these amazing creatures!

I genuinely like Chips work, his story telling is excellent and his conservation focus is brilliant.

I agree with George, we should all try and elevate this guy onto the big platform he could do a lot for sharks.
