The always exciting world of shark film and television, shark production, and shark tourism just got a little more interesting.
Since 2003 the CEO of Shark Diver Patric Douglas often wondered why there was no central clearing house for film and television companies seeking help with shark production and for new and upcoming shark diving companies/resorts looking to create and build unique sharks sites.
"The entire industry is fractured, making it extremely challenging for production companies to get the resources they need" says Douglas, "we're hoping to change that".
Douglas and team recently rebranded Shark Divers to meet the growing need for professional shark centric consultation on everything from safety, cage systems, site development, and film and television production.
"We take a step by step safety approach to every project, after all these are sharks".
Worldwide the growth of shark tourism has only been matched by the growth of shark based film and television. 29.1 million viewers tuned into this years Discovery Channel's Shark Week up from 27.2 just one year ago.
