Close to a decade later of shark diving operations at Isla Guadalupe we start to forget that people have been coming to this wild and remote place for over 150 years.

During the lead up to Televisa's award winning documentary on the island in 2009 I was fortunate enough to meet a woman in Mexico with an amazing first person historical twist to Isla Guadalupe going back to 1917-18.
For years several old structures on the islands North Bay have the subject of rumor, old history, and a few tall tales.
In the next few weeks we will be featuring "Guadalupe a Love Story." Opening up the history of this island in a series of letters and images written from the period. No mention of white sharks, but at the time this remote outpost had other hardships to contend with.
