Shark week is rubbish ! Discovery channel documentary's are mostly poor & have nothing educating compared to those of the BBC ! How could they put such a bad image on such beautiful creatures is shameful.

Long life to David Attenborough I say for showing me the real image of the natural world & thanks to the BBC for promoting his wonderful work !! Long life to the creators of this blog & there effort to promote shark conservation and responsible shark diving !

Sadly, (based on some comments I've seen from some on other blogs, news stories, and YouTube videos), there are people out there buying into Discovery's excuse that they're actually using "bait and switch" tactics to draw in viewers with fear-based marketing, so that they can then educate them about the plight of the world's sharks. I buy into that argument about as readily as I would put money down on oceanfront property in Kansas.

That Guadalupe clip was staged, how can Discovery buy staged animal programming and have any street cred for Shark Week left?

Lupe WAS NOT STAGED... That goes to show you how poor your information is. Would love to hear who your source is... Wait until 2010!!!!

Anon,

Lupe looks like it was staged. But if you want to get a pair and tell us who you are and what you know there's 18k a month who might be interested.

I say "might" because you're probably 14 years old.
